Alissa Firsova (born 1986) is a Russian-British classical composer, pianist and conductor. Born in Moscow to the composers Elena Firsova and Dmitrit Smirnov, she moved to the UK in 1991. Veronika Shoot
Born in Moscow, Veronika moved to the UK at the age of five when her father the late Vladislav Shoot became the composer-in-residence at Dartington Hall. By the age of seven years old she had performed her first piano recital at Dartington Summer School of Music festival. She now performs across the UK and worldwide, playing a wide-ranging repertoire of solo and chamber music.

Trogs was the name given to the young - usually music students - who volunteered to do various tasks such as the lifting and carrying of chairs and instruments between concerts, printing out programmes, looking after the artistes' needs etc.

David Staff and Early Brass
David Staff is a virtuoso Trumpet and Cornetto player specialising in music from the Renaissance to Classical periods. He has performed and recorded with many of the world's leading ensembles and has been at the forefront of the revival of the baroque trumpet. He is principal trumpet with Frans Brüggen's Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century and has been since its inception in 1981. In 2007 David became apprentice to mastercraftsman Frank Tomes and in 2009 he established his own workshop and began making and selling trumpets.

Siegmund Nissel
Siegmund Walter "Sigi" Nissel OBE (3 January 1022-21 May 2008) was an Munich-born British violinist who played second violin in the Amadeus Quartet and served as its administrator. In 1938 he was evacuated from Vienna to Great Britain and was interned as a 'friendly enemy alien' in Onchan Camp on the Isle of Man where he met the violinist Peter Schidlof and later the violinist Norbert Brainin. With the British cellist, Martin Lovett, they would form the Amadeus Quartet, which gave its first concert in London in 1948. The Quartet made some 200 recordings among them the complete quartets of Beethove, Brahms and Mozart and works by 20th-century composers such as Béla Bartók and Benjamin Britten.

Steve Paxton, American experimental dancer and choreographer working with a participant at one of the Touchdown Dance events held at Dartington in the late 1980's. Touchdown Dance is a company founded at Dartington College of Arts in 1986 by Steve Paxton and Ann Kilcoyne, that creates performances and workshops for visually impaired and sighted people. It was taken over in 1994 by Katy Dymoke who was involved with Touchdown Dance in it's early days.

She moved to Britain in 1946 and married the pianist Peter Wallfisch, and had two children, her son the cellist Raphael Wallfisch and her daughter May Jacobs-Wallfisch, a psychotherapist. British/Romanian pianist Florian Mitrea was born in Bucharest but has been based in the UK since 2008. An alumnus and professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London, he is an award-winning soloist with an international performing and teaching career.
